1. "This tends to..." — replaces "always"
   ❌ "This always causes problems." → ✅ "This tends to create friction."

2. "In most cases..." — softens a general statement
   ✅ "In most cases, this approach works well."

3. "It could be argued that..." — introduces an opinion carefully
   ✅ "It could be argued that this method is more effective."

4. "To some extent..." — shows partial agreement
   ✅ "I agree with that, to some extent."

5. "From what I understand..." — shows you're not 100% certain, but informed
   ✅ "From what I understand, the deadline is next week."

6. "That said..." — adds a small contrast or exception
   ✅ "The plan is solid. That said, we should double-check the numbers."
